Antique Aquarium
Does anyone know where I can find a really nice aquarium stand? Not industrial looking, but furniturey?
I have been looking for quite a while for a nice aquarium stand. I don’t want something that looks cheap or mass produced. I would like something that would compare to the appearance of fine or antique furniture. I have been looking on the internet but have only found ultra-modern type or rustic looking pieces. We will be buying somewhere around a 150 gallon aquarium so it will need to be pretty big. Thanks for all your help!
I had my stand for my 44 gal corner tank custom made by a company that makes kitchen counters and cabinets. It’s covered in a grayish pebbled mica, and has a matching 6″ top, so it looks very “finished.”
I just gave them the dimensions of the tank, and told them how much it would weigh (8 lbs per gallon) and they did the rest.
It cost me $300.00, and I’m very happy with it.
I think almost any custom cabinetry shop could make a nice stand for you.
